Your mods will be disabled after the game updates and you need to enable them manually.
Every single time the game gets updated, all of your mods will be disabled. You have to open Game Options, enable mods, apply changes, turn off the game and then turn on the game again. Check out the Manual Installation page for more information on how to enable mods in the Game Options.

Sims 4 Mods not Working. We have received numerous reports regarding the issue where Sims 4 mods fail to work. Either the game doesn’t pick up the mod files which you have pasted in the directory or the mod fails to initialize. Keeping your game updated is really important as well, and you can find what versions of the game are supported by WickedWhims at the Download page. Extracting Downloaded Content. Archives (.zip.rar.7z) have to be extracted or the mod will not work. The game only accepts PACKAGE and TS4SCRIPT files.

Mods will simply ruin your whole game if you don't keep them updated.
The biggest issues are always from using outdated or broken mods that affect the working ones in unpredictable ways and eventually break your game. After downloading and installing custom content, you always have to assume that you have broken mods.
Keeping your game updated is really important as well, and you can find what versions of the game are supported by WickedWhims at the Download page.

Archives (.zip .rar .7z) have to be extracted or the mod will not work.
The game only accepts PACKAGE and TS4SCRIPT files. If you put any other files into the 'Mods' folder, nothing will happen.
To extract archives you need an Archive Manager. If your system doesn't provide one by default, try these:

Excel vba hide application form. End-users typically don’t want to see the behind the scenes actions of your procedures (especially when the procedure runs slow).

• LINUX - ARK / XARCHIVER / PEAZIP

• MAC - ENTROPY / KEKA / UNARCHIVER

It is common for 7-ZIP to cause issues when extracting ZIP or RAR archives. It's recommended to use a different archive manager application!

• I have tried everything from uninstalling the sims 4 to uninstalling origin and then reinstalling noting is working and its making me upset. I Paid 60 dollars to play the sims 4 why exactly am I required to get online when I don't need to or want to be online? Why is it not optional being as origin does not work. I just want to play my game but nothing is working. All I get is an error message. Or origin saying I am not online or have no internet connection which I have both. So again Why do I have to use origin to use my 60 dollar game. Please Please someone help me I am losing my mind. I just want to play my game.

  I am sorry that you are having problems playing the game. Have you played the game once or have you been unable to play at al?
  Shut down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then try launching the game and see if that helps.
  Turn off origin in game and see if that helps.

  Try uninstalling and reinstalling origin again.
  Remove any cc/mods that you have in your game and see if that helps.
  Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.
  If you still have issues after that, try resetting your sims 4 folder and see if that helps. To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then try to start the game. If you can start the game, a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Start a new game and test to see if the game is working okay. Exit the game and then add back the 'options.ini' file and the 'saves' , 'screenshots' 'tray' 'custom music ' and 'mods' folders to the new sims 4 folder, replacing the new generated file/ folders with the old file/folders.
  Check that your graphics drivers are up to date.

  I have not been able to play my game at all which adds to my frustration. I will try to shut off my computer.   Repairing the game may help. To do that, right click on the sims 4 picture in Origin and click repair.

  Shut down your computer completely. Start the computer again, then try to launch the game and see if that helps.
  Do you have cc/mods in your game? If you do, move your mods folder to the desktop. Then start the game and test to see if the issues are still there. If it has helped with the issues, put your mods/ CC back into the newly generated mods folder that is in the sims 4 folder one by one or in batches and testing after each one to see which is the causes of the problem.

  Try launching the game in windowed mode and see if that helps.

• I kind of fixed it. 64-bit+fullscreen will not work. Workaround: command -w. 32-bit + windowed/fullscreen works too.

• This seems to be tied to Sonic Studio 2. It seems that Sonic Studio 2 doesn't play well after some Win 10 patches. You can try to kill the Sonic Studio 2 process and see if the game plays. You can check out this link - Sonic Studio

  Some simmers find that the game works better when playing on 32 bit mode instead of 64 bit mode. By you playing the game on 32 bit mode, it has helped your issue, so it would be good to keep playing in that mode.

Origin In Game Not Working Sims 4 Mac

The Sims 4 Has Stopped Working: Mouse Cursor Not Working Properly. The only thing related to the game that could cause your mouse to stop working is mouse trails. So this problem solves itself, you just need to go to Mouse settings and turn off the mouse trails. The Sims 4 Has Stopped Working: Can’t download the game. It looks like your mods are in too many folders. What I mean is that you should put them into your Mods folder and get rid of the second mods folder. Like Rosebine said, that's probably confusing your game. But also, mods tend not to work if there are too many folders in the path. So sims.mods.mc command is better than sims.mods.mods.mc command.

Sims 4 Game Online

I downloaded Sims 4 ( on origin ) on Thanksgiving ( less than a month ago ) and it was working PERFECTLY. I downloaded some mods and package folders, but it still worked perfectly fine. Now, I updated my game with the newest update yesterday ( 12-19-14 ), along with the Holiday Package, and after that I clicked to play once they finished. I downloaded wickedwhims along with other optional mods for it. Some work, but after not being able to do anything but normal woohoo-ing, i wondered what the problem was. I watched a video- the person brought up a menu by just clicking on their sim, but that menu is nowhere to be found for me. My Origin in Game/Origin overlay does not work in the game although I have it enabled. Origin in Game has been temporarily disabled for Sims 4 since it was causing a number of issues. EA is working on fixes for the issues and it will hopefully be fixed in the next Origin update.
