HELP! My Kenmore frost free upright freezer, 5 years old, is behaving weirdly.
Yesterday, we had 2 short power outages, the first for about and hour and a half followed by 15 minutes of power and then 45 minutes of no power. Everything was OK until this morning at 6 or so when my husband noticed that our freezer alarm was beeping. We turned the alarm off, but the alarm light is still on and temp hasn't gone below 22. We think this might not be just a coincidence - could the power failure have confused the defrost/compressor cycle somehow? The unit has always worked great and did just fine even with really long power failures - this is the first time the alarm has ever beeped.
Any info would be appreciated!!!
