Important Note:

Select CONTACTS on the right, and locate the appropriate number for your country.
In the event you need to contact the ESS support team, the important information (along with the instructions above) to provide to the ESS support representative is listed below:
1. Serial number: Which will be associated with a valid customer number.
2. Product ID: Which is either 572SS1 if the i is at V5R4M0, or 5761SS1 for 6.1.0. i OS.
3. Feature code 6287.
Make sure you request: i5/OS 5722SS1 or 5761SS1 feature 6287.

  • IBM i OS at r7.x Instructions

    1.Use the Entitled Software Support (ESS) Web site.
    a. Sign in with IBM userid and password (or register)
    b. Select My entitled software on left hand side
    c. On the left-hand side, if Software downloads link does not exist select Register IBM customer number. (if Software download link is there go to step f.)
    d.Enter your Machine serial number or Customer Number (Submit).
    e. Toward the top of the page, you should see the following:
    To continue working with your current customer numbers, click the following link.
    Click the link.
    f. Select Software Downloads.
    g. Enter your Machine serial number (continue to next page).
    h. Select OS version from the OS version Selection drop down.
    i. Select 5770-SS1 from the Product Selection and continue.
    j. Select the correct language and continue.
    k. Select hide/show next to Product 5770-SS1, continue.
