What is NCERT?
NCERT (National Council of Education Research and Training) was started by the ministry of Education in 1961 for the purpose of improving the quality standard of school education with the help of Government of India.
NCERT was established by integrating the seven different institutes to operate education system in India.
Presently NCERT is running various programs such as NTSSC (National Science Talent Search Scheme), AIES (All India Educational Surveys) and Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics and Environment Exhibition for Children.
Objectives
Presently NCERT is focusing on these key objectives:

- Promoting the value of education
- Implementing the National Framework Curriculum and providing vocational education.
