    C:ProgramDataPackard Bellupdater2
    C:UsersAll UsersDriverSetupUtility

    If you find any of the above folders, delete them.

Hello John,
Acer Drivers Update Utility is a software program developed by DGTSoft. The setup package generally installs about 7 files and is usually about 701.19 KB (718,023 bytes).
The installed file update.dll is the auto-update component of the program which is designed to check for software updates and notify and apply them when new versions are discovered.

I think it is either the cause of or related to the cause of my getting very brief (too quick to read) dos batch popups containing error messages soon after start up and I think about hourly after that. After each of these popups another log gets added to c:OEMcarecentredebuglog
I don't recall installing any of this.
It may not be related but it was installed on the same day and about the same time I installed Kobo and Adobe Reader DC.
Do you have any idea what may be causing this and how I can stop the popups?
